His daughter Nora invited Bragg to write tunes for some of them, and Bragg brought in Wilco for sessions in 1997 and 1998. Elektra issued Mermaid Avenue in 1998, and it was nominated for the Grammy for Best Contemporary Folk Album. Mermaid Avenue Vol. II followed in 2000. A third volume of outtakes came in 2012, when Nonesuch gathered the songs for Record Store Day on CD, with a DVD of the documentary Man in the Sand, to mark Guthrie's centennial.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSides M and N hold the new material. They open with a live \"California Stars,\" then move through four alternate versions, among them \"Aginst Th' Law\" and \"All You Fascists,\" four solo takes and eight demos.
