The second gathers four b-sides, \"Girls Like Status,\" \"Arms \u0026amp; Hearts,\" \"For Boston\" and \"Teenage Liberation,\" along with six demos from the album sessions.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eBoys and Girls in America was released on Vagrant Records on October 3, 2006. John Agnello produced it, with sessions at Water Music Recorders in Hoboken, New Jersey and Atomic Studios in Brooklyn. The title comes from the opening lines of \"Stuck Between Stations,\" which point back to a passage in Jack Kerouac's On the Road. Dave Pirner of Soul Asylum and Elizabeth Elmore of The Reputation both sing on \"Chillout Tent.\"\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\"Chips Ahoy!\" went out first, as a free download through Pitchfork on August 18, 2006, and \"Stuck Between Stations\" reached campus radio playlists that November.
